LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE INSTRUCTOR (Vancouver, CA)
The landscape architecture programme in the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA) at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver) invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of instructor, effective July 1, 2017.
This position provides the opportunity to pursue a career in the educational leadership path, based on excellence and innovation in teaching and educational leadership. The successful applicant will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. He or she will be highly engaged in curriculum development and pedagogical innovation through teaching technical and representation courses in landscape architecture. Specifically, the successful candidate will take a leadership role in the materials/structures area of the curriculum. The school is also developing the design build components of its programmes and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to this area of the curricula. Applicants must possess at least one year of post-secondary teaching experience and clearly demonstrate capability for achieving excellence in teaching, learning, and pedagogical leadership. Applicants must either be registered, or be eligible to register with the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects.
