PROFESSOR OF ARCHITECTURE (Londres, UK)
You will contribute to the strategic and disciplinary leadership and development of Kingston University’s Department of Architecture and Landscape through your experience of developing a portfolio of innovative buildings, and/or equivalent significant high profile contribution to architectural debate and theory within the UK and Europe.
As professor of architecture you will bring with you the highest level of personal research (including practice-based research) and will play a significant role within the department’s research centre, ‘Rescale’.
A focus on practice is central to the faculty’s position and pedagogy, which is reflected in the half-time nature of this position. We expect its holder to continue his or her own practice in parallel with this prestigious role.
An internationally recognised specialist in architecture and of professorial standing, you will bring an outstanding external profile. You will have demonstrable understanding of the international field of architecture and landscape architecture and the issues facing them. The demonstrable ability to produce high quality research outputs to include but not necessarily exclusive to built work is essential. Pedagogic experience is essential. You will be confident, articulate and collegiate in your approach. You will be keen to initiate and contribute to major research projects and networks that make an impact on both the profession and the international profile of the faculty.
