The Trustees of The Norman Foster Foundation, currently based in Madrid, announce the opening of a full-time position as director.​ The new director is to take up his/​her duties on February/​March 2016.​

The Norman Foster Foundation will be promoting an educational programme related to issues of architecture and urbanism but also extending out to the world of design and art.​ It will also curate an extensive archive related to those fields of interest.​

Qualified applicants should meet the following requirements:
– The candidate has to be a qualified architect with an academic and/​or practical background ideally with experience in Europe or USA and with several years of experience in running projects.​ The Norman Foster Foundation will have an arm devoted to realising works.​
– An interest in the history of architecture, urbanism, design and art would also be an asset.​
– Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, spoken and written.​ Other languages would also be an advantage.​ Ability to communicate through writings and public presentations is important.​
– The role demands mobility although The Norman Foster Foundation is currently based in Madrid where the director will be resident.​
