STORE DESIGNER (Estocolmo, SE)

We are looking for a driven, responsible and independent store designer with previous experience within retail or spatial design that will play an important part in the development of our H&M store concepts. We think you have a genuine interest in business, fashion and retail!

H&M store development at H&M head office, based in Stockholm, is responsible for creating the global store concept for all H&M stores. Our focus is to create a strong brand statement and a great shopping experience that makes us the No.1 choice in every location; always with quality and sustainability in mind.

The design team optimises all aspects of our store program that relates to interior design in a cost effective and qualitative way to create an outstanding shopping experience according to our set priorities and commercial goals.

As a store designer within the design team you will work in an inspiring, creative and challenging environment. Together with the team, you will play a big part in the development of our store concept for H&M – which means creating inspiring retail environments for all types of locations in the world!

Our creative process is project based and defined through company briefs and priorities. The role entails collaboration with our architects, engineers and visual merchandisers amongst others and the main focus will be development of our store interior, from single products to complete interior concepts. Both large and small scale development, e.g. escalator walls, fixtures for holding garments and decorative lighting.

Your main responsibilities are: (includes but are not limited by)
– participate in the design development according to priorities and briefs
– lead design development for specified projects
– managing projects or part of projects according to briefs
– develop and secure commercial goals and functionality in our store interior
– improve, develop and realise interior design according to overall expression

To succeed in this position you probably already have:
– three to five years experience from an architectural/design firm or similar
– project management skills
– experience from retail environments
– good knowledge from programs, such as Siemens NX, AutoCAD, Autodesk, Architectural Desktop, Sketch-Up, Rhinoceros, Adobe
