PROFESSOR IN URBAN AND LANDSCAPE PLANNING (Aarhus, DK)
The Aarhus School of Architecture invites applications for a professorship in urban landscape planning. The Aarhus School of Architecture has a strong professional tradition in the area of urban and landscape planning. The professorship should contribute to maintaining, continuing and developing further the subject area. The position is intended to help raise the level of knowledge of planning in research and teaching and communicate this knowledge to peers as well as to a wider public. The professorship is also intended to help develop further the architectural educational programme in the area and ensure the conceptual and tool-related skills which are needed for the Aarhus School of Architecture to continue educating strong graduates in the area of architectural planning.
When employed, the professor will be given responsibility for developing the subject area of planning through dialogue with the academic staff of the Aarhus School of Architecture. The professor must strengthen the profile of the subject area through his or her own research or artistic development work and help draw up research applications and build relevant professional networks. A further area of responsibility will be to develop and contribute to teaching urban and landscape planning at all levels from Bachelor from Bachelor’s degree programmes to Master’s degree programmes to supplementary and researcher training programmes.
