The Aarhus School of Architecture invites applications for a professorship in architecture. The Aarhus School of Architecture has a strong professional tradition in architecture, and the professorship is intended to contribute to maintaining, continuing and developing further the subject area. The position is intended to help strengthen architecture within research and teaching and disseminate knowledge to peers as well as to a wider public. The professorship must also help develop further the architectural educational programme within the area and ensure the conceptual and methodical skills and other skills related to the architectural profession which are needed for the Aarhus School of Architecture to continue to educate strong graduates in architecture.

When employed, the professor will be given responsibility for developing the subject area of architecture through dialogue with the academic staff of the Aarhus School of Architecture. He or she must strengthen the profile of the subject area through his own research or artistic development work and help draw up research applications and build relevant professional networks. A further area of responsibility will be to develop and contribute to teaching architecture at all levels from Bachelor’s degree programmes to Master’s degree programmes to supplementary and researcher training programmes.
