ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN URBAN STUDIES AND PLANNING (Hong Kong, CN)
Applications are invited for two tenure-track appointments as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Urban Studies and Planning in the Department of Urban Planning and Design, from as soon as possible. The appointments will initially be made on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure during the second fixed-term contract.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree and preferably a track record of relevant research, publications and teaching with an interest in Hong Kong and/or China. They should be specialized in one of, but not limited to, the following subject areas in Urban Studies and Planning: urban economics, development feasibility and impact studies, environmental planning, community development and planning, urban governance, planning and management of the development process, and GIS. Professional qualification or eligibility to membership of relevant professional institutes in urban planning and surveying is desirable. Academic leadership is expected of candidates for the Associate Professorship. The appointees will be required to make substantial contributions to course and programme administration, organization of research activities, and the teaching of master’s and undergraduate programmes.
