ASSOCIATE ARCHITECT (Londres, UK)
Are you a multi-talented, ambitious architect with aspirations of being, or on track to be, a director of a practice? Do you want to lead design teams and see exceptional architectural projects realised? NEX is a dynamic, award-winning practice, working on high profile retail, educational, and residential projects. We are seeking an experienced associate to join our office in the West End in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person to take a leading role in the studio’s future growth. The person we are looking for will have a keen interest in a range of design disciplines, from architecture and art to new materials and modern methods of construction. You will have experience of synthesizing your skills and interests into inventive and exceptionally crafted projects that contribute to contemporary architectural culture.

The successful candidate will also have demonstrated an ability to balance their creative vision with solid technical expertise. This will be evidenced in your experience of leading projects in the UK from feasibility through to contract administration and site inspection. Good technical detailing skills and a thorough knowledge of UK building regulations are essential for appointment.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are also vital as multiple client relationships and projects will be managed simultaneously as part of this role. Strong organisational and time management skills along with an ability to work well under pressure will be highly advantageous as you will manage projects and lead teams on a week-to-week basis to achieve project milestones and outputs.

Proficiency with Rhino 3D modelling, AutoCAD programmes, Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are essential. Excellent presentation skills and visualisation and drawing skills are required to communicate our vision with clients and collaborators.

The successful candidate must relish the chance to work collaboratively within a focused team and will work closely with the director to strategically manage the studio, plan resources, and assist with new business development and fee agreements.

A competitive salary will be offered based on experience, and we are especially interested in appointing an individual with the capacity to progress to a director role.
